What is a Neck Gaiter?
Neck Gaiter is a tubular soft fabric that is worn around the neck by hikers in cold weather. It keeps the wearer's neck warm and helps prevent chafing and irritation from the wind. Neck Buffs are made of polyester fabric, cotton or fleece.
The neck gaiter may be worn as a headwrap to support the hair, a bandana or as a mask.
Uses of a Neck Buff
There are many different uses for Neck Gaiter products;
Keeping Warm: A hiker can use it to keep warm when hiking through snow or rain, or to protect their skin from extreme cold temperatures.
Protection from Scrapes: They can also use them to protect their neck during long treks through rough terrain where they may encounter branches, rocks or other obstacles that could scratch their skin.
In addition to hikers, Neck Buffs can also be used by skiers and bikers who want to stay warm while they exercise outdoors in cold weather conditions. They can also be used by athletes who participate in winter sports such as ice hockey or skiing because they provide additional protection against wind chill when exposed too long without proper insulation under clothing layers such as jackets.
