he Prodigal Son Of The Aberdares We kick off a new season for our intermed
iate and advanced hikers in the Mount Kenya Crash Program and the Roadmap
to Kilimanjaro with the Mount Kipipiri Hike. Flanked by the main Nyandarua
Range\, the Mount Kipipiri hike is as exciting as most other Aberdare hik
es. There are two approaches to Kipipiri: a 17.5km one-way trail that star
ts at the Geta Forest Station and a conventional 4.5km up-down path to the
Mt. Kipipiri summit (3\,363m ASL)and back. Our hike takes the latter path
\, covering 9km in total. Mount Kipipiri Hike Distance & Stats Distance: 9
km Maximum Elevation: 3\,363m ASL Elevation Gain: 567m Duration: 4-6 hours
